First Down TAR....HEELS!

Chad, Jess and Kade

The engagement party on Friday night was the perfect start to the weekend in Chapel Hill.  The tailgating and football game on Saturday was the perfect follow up.  We were able to see everyone again at the tailgate and catch up a little more with friends we don't often see.  We were happy to finally meet Elizabeth, CJ and Leslie's six month old daughter....adorable as expected!
Chad and I were able to relax without worrying about the kids!  It felt very strange to be at the tailgate and game without Payton or Owen running around, throwing a ball or cheering.  Being at the game without them made me sad that they were missing out!  They were having fun back at home with Grandma and Grandpa.  Payton was able to make it to his soccer game as well on Saturday and had fun playing for them.

The Heels played the ECU Pirate and won the game.  It was a warm, sunny day....and a perfect day to be in Chapel Hill!

After the game, Chad and I had to hit the road.  We had to be back home on Sunday morning for our our high school Sunday school class.  While it was a quick trip (which seems to be the new normal), it was worth it.

Great time.  Great friends. Great football....ehhh, ok, maybe a little much...but, a WIN for the Heels is always great!  Great memories.
