On September 8th, Payton had his 1st soccer game. This is his second year playing soccer and he was eager to get out on the field to play. This time last year, he was a three year old entering into his 1st organized sport. Last year, while he was excited to be playing soccer for the first time, he was a little unsure of exactly what to do. Last year, he would often play goalie when there was no goalie needed. Sure, he's always been a little athlete but after watching him play last year and seeing the difference in him on the field this year, it is so easy to see how much has changed in a year. He has a much better understanding of team sports, a better concept of the game and seems to know to attempt to pass to a teammate and defend against the other team.
He was so excited to be there and he loved it! Even though Daddy had to fill in to coach for the week, he was still able to listen and to help be a team leader. He's now one of the older kids on the team so the roles are reversed. He was so fun to watch!

Payton and Lila were excited too! It didn't matter that they were on opposite teams, Payton cheered loud for his buddy!
Little Owen had fun playing too....he just wanted to be part of the team!
