Christmas Breakfast....and lunch

Today seems to be the perfect day to try to catch up.  It is a little sad for me to post these pictures now.  Many of them have Mawmaw in them and as you know, she passed away on Feb 6th.  I had loaded all of these pictures the night before she passed and didn't get a chance to share before today.

Each year, we enjoy Christmas morning breakfast as Mawmaw's house.  We started a little later this year which gave us plenty of time to get there.  It was a great morning with family and cousins!
Owen rocks Payton in the rocking chair that Mawmaw used when she was little.

One of Mawmaw's hobbies after she retired from working at the school was making dolls.  Her house is full of dolls.  Chad has a baseball doll that she made for him and we have a set of Bride and Groom dolls that she gave us for our wedding.  She made the Bride and Groom for each of her three grandchildren.  On Christmas morning, they decided they would let each of the great-grandchildren choose a doll as well.  Luckily, there were 3 boy dolls for Carson, Payton and Owen.  It was emotional for all of us as the dolls were handed out.  We had no idea how special they would be just a few short weeks later.
Meme gives Owen his doll.

Owen and his doll in "the" rocking chair.  Such a special memory!
Boy and Dolls!

I can't wait for the day that they are old enough to really understand how special it is to have a doll their great-grandmother made.  We will have to find a very special place for the dolls.  They are still in a safe spot a Meme's house for now!

Girls and dolls!  I LOVE Calyn's doll in the purple dress....I may try to sneak it away from her when she's not looking :)
It is hard to tell what is a doll and what is a real baby!

Thanks to Allen and his timer, we got a great family shot too....with everyone looking and smiling!  These are the times that I am forever grateful for the gift of digital photography!

We were lucky to see Mawmaw once more before she passed but I will never forget the exchange that Owen had with her as we were leaving on Christmas morning.  He is a loving little guy anyway but he kept hugging Mawmaw, giving her kisses and say "I wuv you!" over and over.  It may not have been her best day but she responded to him with a smile.  It was so sweet and a memory I will always cherish.

By the time we moved on to lunch, I must have been exhausted or maybe in a food coma...this seems to be the only picture I took of the Webb family Christmas lunch!
We enjoyed lunch with the Webb's at Aunt Gail's house.  The boys were spoiled with more gifts.  The loved all their new toys which included a few new trucks!  Even though we are forced to eat too much food, it is great being able to spend a little time with all of Chad's family on Christmas day.

After lunch, we piled in the car again and headed back to my parents.  Christmas with Chad's family had come to a close again.  It is hard to believe how quickly it passes each year!
