Going to the Chapel

The last weekend in April, we headed to North Carolina to celebrate the wedding of Marsha and Kevin.  Marsha and Chad worked as managers together for the basketball team.  It was a great wedding and we were so happy to have our friends Amy and James there to celebrate with us...so ironic, Chad and James never knew each other before living here, but Chad and James grew up together and have been good friends for a long time.  Small, small world!

The wedding was in the early afternoon and the reception started later.  We had a little time to kill so we hung out in the great town of Statesville between the ceremony and party!

Amy and I did not plan to dress alike...but, we looked awesome in our matching colors and it made for a few good photo opps!

The reception was at the Rock Quarry at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville.  My Mom and I actually looked at this site for our own reception....and, had the Charlotte race not interfered on the weekend of our wedding, we would have probably held our reception in this exact spot.  It is beautiful and would have made for an absolutely awesome reception spot for our wedding.  It would have been a lot of hard work on the florist but the flowers, tents, lights, etc would have been stunning.  We had a great reception at the Holiday Inn instead...no complaints, it was also beautiful, but its hard to compete with the natural beauty of this spot.  Chad had never been there before so it was nice to show the spot and celebrate another wedding in such a great spot!

Amy and Jess, just one more beautiful picture!

Congrats to Marsha and Kevin!  We had a great time seeing old friends and celebrating with you.  Your reception is certainly one that will be remembered for years to come!

Last year, on this weekend, we celebrated the wedding of my best high school friend - Jessica Campbell and Doug Waterman.  Next year, on this same weekend in 2013 we will be celebrating the marriage of Kade and Mary Margaret....whoo hooo!  Seems to be a great date for a wedding!  We'll be especially excited to be a part of their big day!
