As always, I'm one month late....I should have kept my Lenten gig up...I was doing great....geez, it is just SO busy around here! Here is a look at our time spent in SF with my family over Easter.
On Saturday, we traveled from EB to SF to spend the day and Easter Sunday with my family.
Grandma had planned to do more Easter eggs with the boys...and, as you can tell they were excited!
My parents had planned an afternoon cookout with all of my Dad's family and it was perfect. I only have 4 cousins on my Dad's - and most of them live right down the road from my parents - but it is often hard to squeeze in time with each of them on our rushed trips home.
My dad, being the awesome grandfather that he is, put up this tire swing a few months ago. Payton loves it...and Owen wants to love it, he's just not big enough yet! The kids lined up for their turn on the tire swing.

We also had a massive family Easter Egg hunt. My fondest memories of Easter include Sunday afternoon lunch at my Nannie Helen's house hiding real Easter eggs with my cousins. We would hide them over and over and over again....and then, we would eat the eggs...which seems kinds gross now, but hey, its what we did and we survived. We also threw them, fed them to animals, etc. It was so much fun and I'm happy that we were able to do the same with all the little cousins....though, they used plastic eggs filled with candy.
Connor is a GREAT big cousin and always looks out for little Owen. He proclaimed that he was "too old" for the Easter egg hunt, so he volunteered to help Owen instead. Such a big helper!

Finally we all sat down to enjoy hamburgers and hotdogs. My mom made the best move ever by putting the tables and food in the garage. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed every second of it!
This is a picture of all the little cousins in action...we are missing Owen who is still too little to join the "big kids" table!

A great afternoon with my family!!
After we finished, Chad and I were lucky enough to be able to head out to meet a few of my high school friends and college friends. We were briefly able to see Eric and Amy, Dave and Claire and Marty...I hadn't seen Marty in over a year and I was having withdrawals! I hate we missed Laura and Lydia but hopefully it won't be too much longer before we are able to see them (we're hoping for a late summer trip to Atlanta to see the Braves vs the Dodgers and visit with a few of our friends who live in the big city....can't wait!).
