Day 34.....one long day!

We were supposed to walk in the Walk for Water today.  Last night, Chad and I checked the weather and saw lots of rain moving in.  We made the decision that it would be best to skip the walk and try to spend a day playing catch-up from the previous 10 days...they had been busy....family in town, illness in the house, and the rush getting back in the swing of things.

As soon as I woke up, I saw the sunshine and regretted our decision to skip the alarm clock and the walk....I thought about rushing everyone out the door...but that didn't seem to easy.  Instead, we decided we would head up to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt and party.

We should have just stayed at home.

Yesterday, Payton had a meltdown....similiar to the meltdowns he had around age 2.  It lasted about 45 minutes.

Today, Payton had another meltdown.

Lucky for us, this meltdown started earlier and lasted longer.  He pulled it together long enough to get in the car and head to the clubhouse.  He lost it as soon as the egg hunt started....all out meltdown, loud crying in front of everyone.  We tried to make a quick exit.

The problem with the big brother having a meltdown is that it also ruins everything for the little brother - who wanted to find eggs, see the bunny and eat a donut from the snack table.  More importantly, he wanted to do all of these things with his big brother who was already in the car.

It didn't end well.

In fact, it didn't end at all....Owen was fine about 10 minutes later. Payton continued to whine, complain and cry until well after lunch.  The rain had moved in and there was really no way to escape.  It was no fun.

I think he is still recovering from his week long blah....I hope.  I do think he is still tired and if you look at him, still looks weak and a little sick.

Thankfully the afternoon and evening went much better.....for the boys.  They spent the afternoon playing in the garage.  They played basketball and Chad put one of Payton's birthday present's together...a net he uses to practice throwing and catching.  So fun!

I spent the rainy afternoon cleaning out and attempting the organize the boys closets.  I will still have a few things to take out once the lingering winter weather finally disappears but overall, the summer clothes have moved in and winter clothes are packed away.

The biggest problem is the growing baby in my belly.  The boys already share a room....but, not a closet.  Owen's clothes are still in the closet in the nursery.  Once the baby arrives, this will have to change.

Payton is in a bigger size and doesn't have too many clothes....however, Owen is sort-of in between sizes so his closet is packed full of all of Payton's summer clothes in varying sizes.  I can't even begin to imagine how I will cram all of their clothes into one closet!

I also learned that Payton is in desperate need of shorts....his waist has not grown but his legs are long!  His shorts from last season look hilarious!  I picked up a few pairs at the consignment sale last week but looks like I'll get so do a little more bargain shopping with summer weather arriving soon!

We ended our night with a quick dinner out and a little March madness...basketball, basketball and more basketball!  Such is the life of a Webb.

Happy Saturday.....4+ hours of closet cleaning has made for one exhausted mama!
