Carolina Favorites

Sunday morning Chad and I woke up to two sounds  - 1)Payton babbling 2) Chad's phone vibrating...over and over...because Eric was awake and needed some friends to play with.

By 7:45, Eric had arrived at Kade's, Chad had taken a shower, I had dressed Payton in his UNC Nike outift, made him a bottle, and Eric and Payton had gone upstairs to wake Kade.  Why?  Bojangles.  I was not invited on this boys outing.  I was happy to attempt to go back to bed!  Around 8:30 I received a text from Eric asking if Payton could have sweet tea...No!  At 8:35 I received a picture of Payton sitting with a large cup of sweet tea in front of him...I don't think he had any though.

The boys arrived back to Kade's pretty quickly.  They continued to play with Payton.  Eric and Kade may dote over Payton more than my female friends...its cute!

At 11:00, the three of us, along with Kade had loaded up and headed towards Franklin St.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day in Chapel Hill and we were eager to enjoy it!  We met Jenny and Daniel at Sutton's for lunch.  Yum Yum!  Payton was happy to eat in the booth with Jenny and Daniel.  We miss them!

After eating lunch, Eric and Amy had arrived on Franklin Street and we headed off to do a little shopping.  We couldn't go to Franklin St without buying Payton a new UNC item.  We now have an adorable shirt for the spring - we'll call it his baseball shirt - and his first UNC baseball cap.  We put it on his head in the store and he left it on for nearly an hour.  He loves his hat!  He looks very cute it it too!  Thanks Eric for helping us pick out our new treats!

After lunch and shopping it was time for us to say goodbye once again.  The remainder of the day was spent on I-95 heading back to Charleston.  For some reason, the sights on I-95 don't cause the same amount of excitement as those on I-40!  Maybe one day I will get excited about South of the Border....I'll keep you posted!  I will say that the warm weather and the first signs of Spring in Charleston were pretty nice to come home to!

We'll be back in Chapel Hill in two weeks.
