Our time in East Bend had to end to quickly once again. After the services, Chad and I had to head back to Charleston. Although this photo will serve as a reminder of the day it was taken, it will also serve as a constant reminder of what Poppy loved most - his family. Unfortunately, Payton will never remember his time with Poppy. Calyn and Carson will have their own memories but only the years will tell what truly sticks out in their minds as to who and what Poppy was to each of them. I hope that we can all share many stories with Payton so that he can know the man he was named after.
