Our family is growing!

Most of you have already heard the news....but just to make it official....I am PREGNANT!

We will adding a baby brother or baby sister in June. My due date is officially June 23rd, 2 days past my birthday on June 21st. We find out on February 5th if this little bundle of joy will be boy #2 or our first baby girl. I honestly don't care either way...but if I don't have a girl I'm going to start sending adorable baby girl clothes to starving girls in 3rd world countries. I know they need food but they also need clothes and I need to cure my desire to buy those adorable little outfits...complete with boots to match! Again, I'll be happy with a little boy too...seriously!

So far my pregnancy has been going great! Just like my first pregnancy, I have had no morning sickness and overall I have felt great. I was very tired in my 1st trimester but I have started to have a little more energy in the recent weeks. Luckily, I have not had the swelling that had already started at this point with Payton. I've had no cravings - in my first pregnancy I craved lemonade and banana ice cream early on! I do think I'm extremely large this time...every one says it is because it is my second but I feel huge already!! Unlike last time, we have no idea for a name. Payton was picked many years before he was even thought of. I don't have any ideas for a girl or a boy. We're happy to take suggestions but don't feel bad if we don't pick your name! I have that gut feeling that it is a boy. Chad is convinced that it is a girl. My co-worker, Shameka is so convinced that its a girl that she has already bought "her" 1st pink outfit! I guess we'll see who is right!

It has been interesting to have some pregnant friends this time. Last time, I was all alone...and pretty lonely with the whole experience because we were also new to Charleston. This time EVERYONE is pregnant! Ella's mom, Lindsey, is due with a little girl in just 5 weeks. Marty and Laura are due in early March. Andrew and Laura are due 4 weeks before us. In my bible study group at church, Anne is pregnant with her 3rd and due in July. At the New Years Eve party there were 6 pregnant women...and only about 9 women at the party!! Anyone else ready to join?? Seriously, don't drink the water!!

I am currently 16 weeks and have my 3rd doctors appointment this Friday. At 12 weeks the baby measured 12 weeks 6 days and had a heart rate of 145. The baby was very calm and was very still for the ultrasound screening...unlike Payton who constantly did backflips! At 8 weeks the heart rate was 162.
