We have finally placed the order for Payton's big boy bed. It will arrive in a few weeks.
We decided to go with Stanley's children's furniture line, Young America and the My Haven collection. This is the same furniture we have in the nursery. What can I say...we aren't much on change! Actually, we just love the furniture so much and it has been perfect for Payton. It is a great kids line and Made in America. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for children's furniture!
Payton will be getting twin bunk beds with a storage unit under the bottom bunk.
Payton's furniture will be painted with a dark navy finish. The nursery furniture is not painted so we wanted to make it a little different. We are also getting a bookcase for his room. The bunk beds can later be separated into two separate twin beds. If Baby Webb #2 is a boy, they will probably get to share a room in the future so this will work out great.
I can't wait for it the new furniture to arrive. I think it will look great with his Pottery Barn Kids sports themed bedding.
Payton has already been sleeping in the big boy room but on a double bed. He has slept all night, alone, in his room the past 2 out of 3 nights. We had great success on Sunday and Monday but last night he ended up in our bed just so we could get a little sleep. We'll see how tonight goes for all of us! Hopefully once his new bed and bedding is in place it will help him feel more comfortable in his new bedroom. I know he'll love being surrounded by footballs, basketballs and baseballs!
