...he is sitting....and it won't be long before that turns to crawling, standing, and walking!

Owen started sitting up over the Christmas holiday. Starting in January, he started to sit up unassisted with great balance. He was even able to reach and grab for his toys without falling over. He's got those little pinchers working all the time! I think it is funny that of all the toys he was surrounded by....soft blocks, a lovey, musical caterpillar, a mirror, a soft book, a brown bear...he picked a soft, orange, Tarheel basketball. Maybe just coincidence...have you ever met his older brother? This was one of Payton's favorite toys - we used it to entice him to crawl on a trip to Chapel Hill when he was a baby.
On the same day, we also started sitting Owen up in front of a small baby basketball goal. He started playing with the balls and Payton was quick to teach him how to shoot and score. After a few tries, he was able to score on his own! Payton has really started to interact more and more with Owen now that he is sitting up.
