Santa Claus is coming to town!

After arriving in the snow and having our plans changed around a bit, we decided to go ahead and start opening presents...slowly!  We let Payton and Owen enjoy their presents and we enjoyed watching them.  We literally used the rest of the day to open presents and eat dinner.  We had to take a few breaks to feed Owen and clean him up after a nasty diaper...Merry Christmas to Mom and Dad from Owen!
Santa stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's house too!
Payton was excited to see that Santa also brought him a piano, complete with stool and microphone; drumsticks, his own copy of Toy Story 3, new PJs, a nice race track and a few new race cars and Thomas trains.    Santa brought Owen a new bulldozer, a rolling inch worm and a few great stocking stuffers!

Payton, our budding musician, starts singing with his microphone immediately!

Mommy and Owen

Payton has found his stocking.  He's just checking to make sure it is completely empty!

Merry Christmas Bailey!
Santa brought Bailey a bag of Christmas marshmallows!

Owen's stocking had a new book in it!
Payton is helping him read his new book.

Wide eyed Santa baby!

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
The snow continued to fall all day long!  Big, heavy snow flakes!  From inside the house, with no where to go, it was beautiful!
Say cheese!
Grandma and Grandpa got Payton his very own camera.  He has enjoyed being a little photographer!  I'm teaching him early!
Dad!  We can start our own band!
In addition to the piano, microphone and drumsticks Payton got a guitar!  Looking for entertainment for your next event...just call Payton!
Daddy, you can use this fishing rod!
Aunt Chandra and Grandpa think alike...fortunately, one bought Payton a Buzz fishing rod and the other a Cars fishing rod.  Payton has two fishing rods...and loves them.  Chad made a good point - Owen will need one soon so we really did need two!  We all joked that Chad could use one of them :).
He might be little, but he was more into the presents than I expected.  He started attempting to sit on the days surrounding Christmas.  He was happy to reach for the presents.  He was really going for the bow on this one!
Done!
Opening gifts must have worn him out...he fell asleep right on me.  This little Santa was done!
No really, I'm done!
Grandma and Grandpa gave Owenthis alligator pulling toy....he'll have to thank you later!
Santa left one more prize...an awesome new kid sized table!

Payton loved it!  He ate all of his meals at the table the rest of the time we were at Grandma and Grandpa's.  We will get a lot of great use out of this at home!

Chad's work pants...he's ready to get to work in the yard now!

One of Payton's stocking gifts - binoculars - what 2 year old doesn't need binoculars??  Payton LOVES them and wore them around for the rest of the night and the next day!  He has been using them at home too!  These will be perfect when the alligators start living across the street...he can spot them from his room now!

Daddy's perfect gift....
His very own fishing rod! He won't have to borrow Payton's after all...better yet, he won't have to borrow Matt's!  Chad hasn't turned into the biggest fisherman (yet) but he does enjoy fishing with Matt.  His other Christmas presents included pants and a shirt.  When the weather gets a little warmer he'll be the first in line to catch a red drum!

The night is over...another Christmas has come and gone.  Thanks to the snow, we'll have a few more days to celebrate with my family.

Once all the hustle and bustle of the day is complete it is always so nice to reflect on all the new treats from the day. I must say, our families did a pretty good job of not going too overboard.  I think we all got some great gifts and I'm looking forward to using all of them and watching Payton and Owen play with all of their new toys.
The view from my Mom's dining room looking out...snow was still falling as we headed to bed...exhausted and excited from the long day we all had!
