Following our trip to East Bend, we loaded up once more and headed back to Sherrills Ford....like I said, we don't stay in one place for too long!
This was for a very special reason...my Dad was turning the big 6-0!
I can't believe my Dad is 60 - I'm sure he can't either - but he really doesn't seem old enough to be 60...or as old as 60 seemed when I was a child! I guess the truth is that 60 doesn't seem that old to me anymore either...it is the new 30 they say! I guess if he is 60, that means I'm getting on up there too! Whew!
I wouldn't have missed it! We got to spend a little extra time with my family - including my Dad's side of the family - and celebrate the big birthday with dinner at Lineberger's Steakhouse.
Happy Birthday Grandpa from your two favorite Grandsons (and only, but who's counting?!?).
I think Payton picked the cake....Lightening McQueen and Tow-Mater!
Happy Birthday Dad!
We love you!
We'll be celebrating his birthday again this spring. His birthday present is a day trip on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in Bryson City. We are all going to join him for a fun day and weekend. Payton is really excited about it!
