Exhausted

I am failing miserably with my daily blog writings.  Sorry.

There is a lot going on here.

Of course, the obvious continued stress of our house NOT selling takes up about 75% of my daily thoughts.  May as well add continued job drama just in case I ever get a chance to stop thinking about the house.  The past two weeks have been an emotional, exhausting roller coaster.  I had a job but they changed the hours so I turned it down.  I was offered a second position (prior to turning down the previously mentioned position) and called to accept that offer.  The salary was low.  I emailed back and forth with the doctor and finally decided I would accept the offer.  I was promised a 4-day per week schedule.  When I called to accept, I found out that the doctor had not been communicating with the correct people and basically the 4 day work week is not even an option.  I haven't worked five days per week since Payton was born - I have worked more than a 40 hour per week job, but I wasn't required to be there on Fridays.  Working on Fridays, with three kids, is a bit overwhelming to think about.  I know, many of you do it....and you all amaze me!  I'm glad you can figure out how to do that.  I'm not so sure I can figure it out.  I have to go back (again!) on Monday to re-discuss the details of the job, the schedule, etc to make sure we are all on the same page.  I can promise you that I would have never expected a large, teaching hospital to look so dysfunctional to a possible employee.  It's been interesting.

God continues to test my faith.  Or, perhaps, he is showing me signs this job is NOT the right one but at this point, he hasn't shown me any other options either.  Confused to say the least!

On top of that, Payton came home feeling bad yesterday and was diagnosed with strep this morning.  Another sick day for his first year in school.  He's had a way to many sick days.

Praying that he hasn't passed strep on to Mom, Dad, or Owen.

The true exhaustion is due to the fact that the wind blew with hurricane force winds ALL NIGHT LONG last night.  I ducked under the covers several times because I was certain the windows were going to bust or the roof was going to fly off.  We had another tree fall on the driveway...that's two in case you were counting!  It was incredibly windy....if anything keeps me up all night, you know it was bad.

If I can get my brain to shut down long enough, I will sleep hard tonight.
