Sawyer,
How is it possible that you are already six months old? In my brain, you should be three months old at the most. Technically, you will be seven months old in just a few days but I've been meaning to write this post for weeks. You are the sweetest little baby. You are calm 90 % of the time. You love to eat and if you are full, you are a happy boy. You are sleeping through the night but for about a week you have been waking up extra early for your first morning feed....but, it's not so bad because you love to snuggle up with Mommy after you eat and sleep next to me for a little longer. I love, love, love our morning snuggles. You always get as close as possible to mommy. You like to be held and be in on the action, so occasionally you get extra fussy just because you are having to lay in your crib or play mat alone. Even worse, there are times that just being out of eye sight from mommy makes you cry. You are going to be a Mama's boy, right?
I could kiss your cheeks all day long!
You are really starting to grow into a fun little baby now. You are babbling all the time and as much as I hate to say it, you have been "saying" da-da-da-da for days. You laugh and squeal all day long.
You love to reach for things and you grab anything you can get your hands on. You love my phone and love to get it in your mouth when I'm not looking.
You love your baby food - mangos seem to be your favorite. Bananas, apples, carrots and sweet potatoes seem to make you happy as well. You are still not a fan of green beans. You don't really have much interest in finger foods like puffs or rice cakes.
I am certain that you will crawl early. You roll all over the place. If you want something, you are going after it! You still don't have much interest in sitting. I think you can sit, you just aren't interested in just sitting there...how boring! If I try to sit you, you instead fall over to your side so you can roll from place to place. You can change direction too.
You are starting to LOVE your big brothers. You laugh and squeal at both of them. Sometimes they make mommy crazy but, just when I start to yell at them, I realize that you are completely amazed by their wild behavior and most often smiling at them.
I just love you...and, I have said it before, but it's worth repeating...in the midst of all of our changes, you are my one constant. No matter what my brain is thinking or what emotions might be running through my head, you bring me back to a good, happy place and fill me with a peace that can't be explained. Mommy is going to head back to work in a few weeks - I don't know how I will leave you behind but I know you will be in good hands. Leaving Payton was tough and leaving Owen made me cry but, I think leaving you will be more difficult than either of your brothers....we will survive!
I have had to pack up a few of your baby clothes - you actually stopped wearing them months ago because you were so big but I just couldn't pack anything away. Finally, I need more closet space and packed up some of the newborn outfits....I should probably sell them or give them to someone who needs them, but with all that we have going on, I couldn't even bring myself to do that just yet...they are all packed away nicely. It made me so sad to fold and pack them away, most likely for the last time.
I love you sweet baby and I cherish every little minute with you. Your brothers have taught me not to take anything for granted - because it all goes way too fast - I am doing my best to soak it all in with you!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures of you over the past few weeks.
Sawyer and Grandpa at Payton's birthday party, March 15th
Sawyer "sitting" - he was mostly interested in eating these sticks
Payton decided to help me feed Sawyer one night....I love their faces...
Sawyer, very carefully watching Payton get his food on the spoon....feed me!
Payton, opening wide as he feeds Sawyer, too funny!
My blue eyed baby boy!
Having fun in the exersaucer...just jumpin' around!
See, he's wearing that "I love mommy" shirt because he is clearly a Mama's boy! Thanks buddy!

I think he is so happy because he knows he is in a home that was never filled with anything but LOVE!!! granted it was 3 loving girls, but he still feels the love! Love from his Mom and dad and the love that still exist in the house! There has never been anything but love in that house! He is so fortunate to have some time there as are the other boys! they love the outdoors and freedom to enjoy it! Nothing in the world like it!!Kids do not know square footage!! Kids know how close you are! They are some lucky boys to enjoy some freedom and outdoor spaces! I know they will remember this for the rest of their lives!
