We spend a lot of time reading and now, we spend a lot of time listening to Payton read. It is so exciting to see him pick this up so quickly and easily. It's amazing to watch your child move from letters to words to full sentences. He can read nearly anything we put in front of him now....and road signs, speed limit signs, etc. It is certainly one of those "wow" moments when he reads something that seems too challenging.
He reads at least one book aloud each night for school, sometimes two books. We also have to read at least 25 additional books per month. We are making our rounds through our favorite children's books. He seems to always choose Curious George or Clifford from the library. Owen and Sawyer enjoy getting in on the reading too!
Sawyer has definitely hit the mark where he transitions from baby to mobile little explorer. He hit the 6 month mark at the beginning of March. He rolls and rolls and rolls. He babbles and drools. He likes to touch everything!
What is it now Mom?
Love that little face!
On March 8th, Payton's basketball team had a small banquet. The kids enjoyed pizza and cake before watching a short video with clips from their games and getting their trophies.

Payton and Keaton - Keaton is one of his new buddies at school. They are way too much alike!
Owen was proud of his big brother too! Owen is just living for the day that he gets his own trophy!
Payton was very proud of his trophy. He did love playing basketball and it was a lot of fun to watch! This will probably be his only year playing with his team which makes me a little sad - I think it would be fun to watch a few of these boys play together over the next few years!
This picture may eventually be one of my favorites...Payton adores Sawyer and several times each day I catch him talking to Sawyer or laying beside him. Last week, I caught him feeding Sawyer his baby food while I was getting something for Owen. You never know what type of relationship siblings will have - but, in this moment, I can tell they love each other more than words will ever express. The look on Sawyer's face just screams "I love you big brother!"
Then again.....
...how could you not love this little face? I could kiss those cheeks ALL day long!
