The birthday festivities are officially underway! I know I have said this already, but I just cannot believe how quickly the year has gone by! It is hard to believe that my precious little baby boy is now a one-year old toddler! After work today, Andrew and Laura joined us for a small birthday celebration. We went to Outback for dinner. I wanted to order Payton something from a kids menu for the 1st time. He enjoyed his Mac-a-Roo n' Cheese, bread, and milk. After dinner, we headed home to give Payton his first taste of cake and icing. I gave him a big slice of cake and within a few seconds he dug right in! He seemed to like the icing more than the cake...just like his Mommy! I was prepared for a dirty little boy. Luckily, he did not get to dirty. It will be interesting to see how he does with orange icing on Saturday!

Chad and I are both off work tomorrow. We are looking forward to spending the entire day with our little guy and enjoying some quality family time. After Payton's 1 year pictures, we are hoping to go see the penguins at the aquarium. Tomorrow night our family will start arriving for the upcoming weekend celebration.
