Payton did get a few presents for his birthday. A small, useful amount that Mommy can handle! We are happy to report that after opening his presents, we raised at least $310 for the walk we participated in last weekend. We had a few online donations as well and we are unsure of the exact amount of those donations. We are very thankful to those of you who helped Payton with his first fundraiser. This is something we hope to continue with each birthday as he grows up.
Grandma and Grandpa bought Payton this child-size chair for his birthday. It is just perfect for him! He climbed right into his chair and sat right in place for nearly 30 minutes while I finished helping him open presents.
Aunt Gail and Randy sent to musical books. He thought they were hilarious! He enjoys playing the music on the front of the books.
Calyn and Carson gave him several outfits, an expandable towel, and this cute little puppy. Payton said dog when he saw it! I was impressed that he actually opened most of his presents - pulling the items out of the bags without too much assistance!
He also got an alphabet pal, a "gumdrop" machine with lots of balls, a few books, his first puzzle, beach toys, clothes, a cow, a goat and a tractor.
Another big present was from Meme and Pawpaw. He now has his first bicycle. It will take a little growing before he is ready to use it but they couldn't pass up the UNC Bicycle. He is already pushing it around! He'll be riding it in no time!!
Thanks to everyone for the great birthday presents. We had received several in the mail before his birthday as well. We appreciate all of the wonderful toys! Payton is already making good use of most of them. Mom has put a few away to pull out at a later date....it will be like a birthday party all over again!
