SC Aquarium

After Payton's pictures, lunch, and a quick shopping trip, we headed downtown to the Aquarium.  This was my second trip with Payton but Chad had never been to the aquarium.  We had been the first time shortly after Christmas.  Payton seemed to enjoy it even more this time.  He now says "fish" (thanks to repeating it when we give him his Goldfish snacks) so throughout the aquarium he would say "fish."  He still did not seem to care for the sea turtles.  I know he will love them one day!

He really enjoys the touch tank.  We touched a prickly sea creature and a crab.  I think he really likes to get his hands wet!
Here is one of the smaller turtles.  The big sea turtle is in the ocean tank.
I have to give my Nikon a lot of credit for this picture.  This looks like a scene from a movie....like Payton and Chad jumped right on the movie screen of Finding Nemo.  Payton does seem to enjoy the ocean tank.

With all these fish in one tank, he knew to say "fish."  He also attempted to climb the tank!
After touring around the aquarium, we stayed to watch the scuba show in the ocean tank.  Payton must have been fascinated with the scuba diver because he sat very still and listened for nearly 15 minutes.

By 3:30 our family members were heading south on I-77 to Mt. Pleasant. The party was about the get bigger!  So, at 4:00 we decided we better head home to prepare for their arrival.  Payton went down for a nap and we took care of a few last minute items to prepare for the weekend.

Around 7:30, Chad's parents, my parents, and Chandra, Allen, Calyn and Carson arrived at our house.  The party had started!  Cake #3, #4, and #5 had arrived!  Presents were starting to fill the rooms.  Payton was getting lots of attention.  Bailey was running around crazy!  The eleven of us headed to a late dinner.  After dinner we watched a little basketball and stayed up late chatting.  Friday would bring more guest and more celebration!
