The Webb's come to Charleston

Friday morning started off with Payton's 1 year trip to see Dr. Linker.  He is still in the 75th percentile for height and 30th percentile for weight.  I think he stays so active that his weight doesn't get any higher.  He only weighed 21 lb 8 oz at his appointment.  He was 30 1/4 inches long.  Dr. Linker had no concerns. We are looking forward to feeding Payton many new foods, letting him drink whole milk, and letting him ride in his big boy car seat.  I know he will love looking out the front of the car as we ride around.  He had to get two shots and I believe they made him a little cranky!  Everyone is allowed to be cranky occasionally!  We will see Dr. Linker again in June....and hopefully not before then!

After seeing the doctor, we headed home to await the arrival of more family members.  Several of Chad's family members were making their first trip to Charleston to celebrate Payton's 1st birthday.  Dalton, Lynn, Michael, Christie, Brandon, Carlton and Darlene were going to be here for the big weekend.  We had big plans - including a carriage ride, a tour of downtown, shopping in the market, and dinner at California Dreaming.  We didn't plan for rain!

After they arrived, we all headed out to a quick lunch.  That was a quick lunch for a party of 18!  It all worked out!  Payton had his first cheese quesadilla.  He made a little mess with the rice.

After lunch, we decided it would be best to go ahead and head downtown for our carriage ride.  There was an 80% chance of rain for the weekend and it had not started yet.  We loaded up our party of 18 and headed downtown to Old South Carriage Co.

We enjoyed our tour of historic Charleston with our horse Marty.

After our carriage ride, we took a quick tour of Rainbow Row and the battery prior to dinner.  We had dinner overlooking the water at California Dreaming.  California Dreaming is always a  favorite for our many out-of-town guests.  Other than a 50 minute wait (with reservations), they did a great job with our large group.  After dinner and a few cheesecakes to-go, we headed back to our house to get Payton ready for bed and to watch the 10:00 pm UNC game.  Only the biggest Heels fan were able to stay awake for the entire game!  We were all very excited to see the Heels advanced to the Elite Eight!
