I was pleasantly surprised with 2 showers last week. On Tuesday night, my Mom's Bible Study Group at church surprised me with a diaper and wipes shower as well as some great food. Anne, who is just a few weeks behind me was also showered with gifts! I feel so blessed to be a part of this group. It is such a great group of young Mom's - we have quickly become good friends as we are all going through many of the same things - growing our faith, being good wives, good moms and managing to work as well. It has especially been a blessing to have these ladies around for my second pregnancy - at times it was a lonely 9 months with Payton because we had just moved here and I was the 1st of most of my friends to be pregnant. These ladies have been a very welcome change this time around!!
We stocked up on diapers and wipes! I think we'll have enough to get us through at least two months! They are neatly stored away in the nursery awaiting Baby Boy #2's arrival!
On Wednesday, I managed to make it to work for about 5 hours. I had been feeling so bad for the entire week before so the last thing I was expecting was a shower or food! I was very surprised with a room full of yummy food and several presents from my co-workers. We got several adorable outfits, bibs, blankets, a gift card to Babies R Us and a special present for Big Brother Payton!
The doctor I work with, Dr. Virella-Lowell, hand knitted an adorable sweater and hat for the baby....so precious! I am lucky to work with such a great group of people!
It was nice to get a few new things for Baby Boy #2!
