We were fortunate to have both of our parents and Chad's sister and nephew, Carson, here in Mt. Pleasant to welcome Owen into the world. Of course, our parents were at the hospital anxiously awaiting the news of his arrival and catch a glimpse of him as he was rolled into the nursery. They were also eager to hear the name of their newest grandson.

Chandra was in charge of Payton...no small task! She had Payton and Carson for the day. They enjoyed breakfast at IHOP, a trip to Target filled with a few treats for Payton (including a new Woody doll) and a trip to Publix to get Owen's cupcakes for his birthday party. We had been playing up the idea of Owen's birthday for several weeks as a way for Payton to understand when his brother would be arriving....June 16th he would say!
After I had recovered for about an hour and a half, we were taken to our room and our family was finally able to come in and meet Owen for the first time. Here are a few of the 1st pictures with each of them:
