Where do I begin? Payton has met and achieved so many milestones since Friday. He continues to amaze me with his daily advances. Last Friday he started crawling and pulling up. Since then, he has continued to improve. He moves quickly and his main goal is attempting to pull up. His favorite things to pull up on are his Carolina rocking chair and the rocking ottoman in his nursery. These rocking support pieces do not help his balance! He'll figure it out soon enough. His crib mattress is as low as it can go and he has already gotten up on his tip-toes to attempt to pull up and climb out. His 4th tooth (top right) is now showing....I still can't believe my 6 month old has 4 teeth! His top teeth are so big and make both Chad and I laugh. It is so funny to see him smile now! Since Friday, his vocabulary has expanded. He has now mastered "ma ma," "da da," "ba ba," "ga ga," and "yea yea." He must have picked the "yea yea" up from a Mary Kay call!! Unfortunately, "ma ma" seems to come out mostly when he is crying or waking up in the middle of the night. Two of the last three nights Payton has been awake from 1:30ish - 3:00ish. He started sleeping through the night at 4 weeks so these wake up calls are all new to me! I hope it is related to teething pain and not a new fad! Payton has also experience his first "real" food. He has now had sweet potatoes two times. He loves them.
We are happy to have Meme and Pawpaw visiting this week. They arrived tonight and we had dinner with them at Longhorn. Payton was so happy to see them! Meme shared part of her sweet potato with him. He sat in the high chair so they could see what a big boy he has become! Meme is planning to see Payton during the day tomorrow and Thursday. Chad will be happy to see them when he gets home tomorrow too!
It is finally fall here in Charleston (still 70 during the day, but cold at night). I have finally started dressing Payton a little warmer and he wore jeans for the first time today. I must say, he looked adorable! Such a cutie.

Thanks for the wonderful crib Grandpa....I wish you would have made it a little easier for me to get out! As you can see, this is his new, favorite hobby. Laying down and sleeping is way too boring these days.

This Carolina rocking chair looks like a perfect place for me to stand up.
He did pull up after I snapped this picture and I quickly caught him before he fell straight back on the floor. I can see that my future days and weeks will be full of excitement!
He played with his ring set for 30 minutes....in between climbing on the furniture.
Such a big boy - sitting up and playing while mommy cleaned up the nursery.
BOO!
Payton is ready for Halloween. He looked so cute and grown up in his orange Halloween shirt and blue jeans. Of course, I think he looks cute in nearly anything.
