Meme and Pawpaw come to town!

We were able to spend nearly a week visiting with Meme and Pawpaw here in Charleston. As I mentioned earlier, they were here for an insurance program so they stayed in a hotel in North Charleston for the first few days. We were still able to eat dinner with them every night. Chad was out of town the first two nights so I was the tour guide! We had dinner at the Boathouse on Wednesday night - it was there first time eating there. Meme was able to come over and meet Cindy, Payton's babysitter on Wednesday. I think they really enjoyed meeting each other and talking about everything. I know Meme feels better now that she knows Payton is in good hands even when she is not here! Payton was lucky to have Meme watch him all day on Thursday. I think he was spoiled a little while she was here with him!! Starting Friday, they stayed here with us and were finally able to really see the "new" Payton. He moved all over the floor for them, demonstated his new eating skills, showed them his adorable smile and good temper, and of course, jumped for them!
Saturday they took Payton once he woke up and Chad and I were able to sleep in a little.....it was great! I haven't slept that late in months (or maybe a year?!?!). We went out to watch the UNC football game Saturday at noon. Payton was dressed in his football outfit. Shortly after we got our meal, we noticed that Payton's pants were wet. At first, I thought it was just a little pee. WRONG! It was a major blowout! It took Chad and I 15 minutes to get him changed and cleaned up. Apparently, he's not a fan of his UNC outfit! Despite the mess, we were happy to see the Heels win and move to 6-2 and become bowl eligible! We relaxed for the rest of the day Saturday and let Payton enjoy his time with Meme and Pawpaw. His favorite activity was crawling all over them on the couch and climbing up the couch to look over the back to see who was in the kitchen.

Payton laughed so hard when Pawpaw talked like a duck. Payton also learned to shake his head "No No" this weekend. We aren't sure who taught him....

Meme's favorite activity is holding Payton while he sleeps. Mommy worries he'll get spoiled and expect Mommy to hold him all the time but she lets her do it anyway!

Payton loves his Pawpaw!

The jumping bean continues! Payton still loves his jumper. He amazes us at how long he will actually jump and jump and jump.... He squeals with excitement. You can see his new favorite toy - his UNC basketball. Its the perfect size for his little hands and he loves to chew on it!

Who's there? Payton loves to climb up the back of the couch and look over.
