Bailey was so gentle with him!
Shake Bailey.....come on...shake!
Bailey was so good playing with him. She was very curious and enjoyed sniffing him all over and getting a few licks in. For those disgusted by the dog germs, I recently heard that children raised around animals have less allergies and asthma than those raised without animals. Not sure if thats true or not but I like the idea! I'm going to double check the info with the pulmonologist I work with at MUSC.
Payton had so much fun playing but feel asleep in my arms immediately after I picked him up. He was exhausted. He fell asleep in the 3rd inning and missed the Dodgers win....his Mom fell asleep too! For the first time in a very long time, he slept 12 hours. He didn't wake up until 9:00 this morning. It was a welcome relief on Mom's day off. He had been waking up at 6:00.
My parents have just arrived and are upstairs in Payton's room. I'm sure I'll have plenty of pictures and updates from the weekend. Its beautiful in Charleston. Hope you're enjoying the same great weather and have a wonderful weekend. Go Heels! Go Dodgers! Go Redskins! Go Panthers!

Payton and Bailey look like a great brother and sister! Payton is so cute in every picture! I can't wait until I can see you all again.
OK - you know I am not the biggest Bailey fan, but these are adorable!!!! Jess - I think you could win one of those contest with this series of photos!! Hugs and kisses to Payton from Aunt Chandra
I knew you were right about kids being healthier being raised with pets!! I have aways believed to sterile is not good and it is NOT! In fact read the excerpt below from a recent ABC news article and you will see that Payton would be even better off with 2 dogs!!! :) Love to all
Even more remarkable, children who had two or more dogs or cats had an even greater reduction, up to 77 percent, in risk of allergies. And not only were they less likely to develop allergies to cats and dogs, but also to dust mites, short ragweed and blue grass.
Researchers suggest this protective effect may be the result of early exposure to lots of bacteria that are carried by dogs and cats. Exposing young children to these bacteria helps "exercise" their immune systems early in life so that they're better able to resist allergic diseases later.
