Baseball, Beach bums and BBQ

Saturday morning, we all headed out to the Recreation department for Payton's 2nd T-ball game of the season.  He might have had one of the largest crowds ever present at the IOP for a single player on an early Saturday morning.  His cheering section was there and when we didn't cheer loud enough, he encouraged us to cheer louder!   Payton is #10 and his good buddy Lila is #21.  His friend Jack played on the green team but they got to spend a few minutes chatting while Jack was on 1st and Payton was playing on 1st base.  He did great under the pressure...with all the family watching....and once again had a blast out there playing!  T-ball might be his sport!!

After our morning T-ball game, we all headed out to enjoy the beach.  It was the PERFECT day to spend at the beach.  Payton had fun playing with the big boys - and tried his hand at Frisbee, Bocce ball and paddle ball.  He also enjoyed playing in the ocean with Brandon and running in the "stream" with Addie and Owen.  Owen spent the entire morning running back and forth in the tidal stream.  He loved it - running, splashing and jumping.  Addie spent time between the two - with the big boys and with Owen.  The kids had a blast all morning and considering it was only mid-March, I feel like it was a bonus to have such a perfect day at the beach.

Brandon, acting like a kid, with Payton on his back, playing in the waves...Yes, in March!

Owen and Addie...too cute for words!

I headed back from the beach to finish up the final details on the cake....yes, the same cake, this would be the 3rd day that I worked on it!  We had an afternoon of fun at our house with a washers tournament, lots of fun outside on a perfect spring afternoon, great BBQ and the most awesome Rock Star cake I have ever made!  It was the perfect Saturday!
