Party Day!

Today we celebrated with Payton's friends at his Rock Star themed party on IOP.  Most of our family has made it back to NC.  A few more will go in the morning.  We have had a WONDERFUL weekend - other than the minor thunderstorm at the start of the party, the weather was PERFECT.  We love having our family share this weekend with us each year and I hope to continue this in the years to come.  One thing is certain - all this fun, all this food and all these late nights (and one crying toddler) make for one exhausted Momma!  I should have taken a vacation day for tomorrow!  I hope to share all the details and photos over the next few days.  I've got some great ones and I hope you will enjoy each of them!

Please continue to pray for my friend Anne's dad.  She is still with him and her children are here and being cared for by several of our friends.  I am hopeful that the news we have received means that her dad will be okay....but, he has a long recovery in front of him.  From what I understand, it is truly a miracle that he is still here with us.  Just another reminder to make sure you live everyday like it could be your last and treat everyone like each day could be their last - tell your loved ones what they mean to you and be thankful for every single blessing you have every single day.  Also, another reminder that God clearly had his hands in this miracle.  There are some things that just can't be possible without a higher power!  Thanks be to God that her Dad was given the chance to fight through this battle!
