Did you enjoy your extra hour of daylight today?
The Webb's surely did!
I admit I felt a certain amount of fatigue through my day today and I would like to blame that on the "spring" forward but its more likely due to the fact that I was still wide awake at 11:30 last night...eek!
My weekly Monday meeting ran late today and I didn't walk out of work until 5:15 (which is actually earlier than normal, but I was trying to get out in time to pick my sweet little angels up from daycare). It was a little after 6 by the time I made it home. I didn't even take time to go in to change (in fact, I'm still in my scrubs as I'm typing this now!). The boys and I stayed outside to play while Chad finished up mowing the back yard. We even decided to grab dinner out tonight so that we could stay out and play for a few extra minutes instead of coming in to cook. My boys are outside boys and they sure did appreciate the beautiful evening we had....with basketballs and bicycles!
We made a quick trip "around the block." Payton rode his new, big boy, Spiderman bike and he did great! I was busy pushing Owen so I couldn't snap a picture. Payton is becoming more and more of a help with Owen and he LOVES to try to teach Owen how to do things. Payton was so proud that he was able to push Owen around the driveway. After this, he attempted to teach Owen how to ride his scooter....a littler early, but very sweet that he is so eager to teach his little brother.
Have you filled out your brackets yet? Are you already tired of all the hype? Payton had an imaginary Final Four (in his head) at school today....per Payton, the Heels won the game because they had SO many slam dunks. I might get Payton to fill out a bracket...it would be hilarious....though, I feel certain, he would say the Dook Yucks will be out in the 1st round (how great would that be!!) and the Heels would win it all. He's not a big fan of the Ken-YUCKY Wildcats either, so I doubt he would agree with the popular vote of the Wildcats advancing to the Championship game.
If you're filling out a bracket, let me know your final choices...and keep me posted as the games start this week.
Enjoy your extra daylight tomorrow!
Funny note on the kids: I tend to call Owen "my sweet little Angel." He isn't always sweet and he has his moments where he really isn't too angelic either....maybe I'm just trying to convince myself! Payton has picked up on the fact that I call Owen and yesterday, he asked me if he was "my sweet BIG angel." Yes, sweet boy, you are certainly Mommy's "sweet big angel!"
Also, Chad got a big laugh this morning when Owen backed into the laundry basket, full of clothes, he got stuck and had to yell "Help! Help! Help!" Chad was in the shower so Payton had to come to his rescue and pull him to safety!
Finally, Owen spent a few hours in a new classroom this morning. Last week, they asked us if we would be willing to let Owen move up to the older age group due to his verbal skills. We were hesitant and asked it we could try it out through this week. He spent the morning with the Butterflies and he did great! We'll be trying again tomorrow....my little caterpillar is coming out of his cocoon!
