giving thanks...

Today....I am tired....the past 10 days of family, friends, celebrations, deep and inspiring women's retreat, Bible study, Lenten small groups, prayer for friends....have caught up with me!  Tired, but so thankful for the many great reasons that made me feel so exhausted!  We had a great day celebrating Payton's birthday yesterday - the Heels lost - and he was very sad...FULL meltdown for at least 10 minutes....poor kid, I can relate!  Life goes on despite the loss....it isn't the same without the Heels playing ball...but, next fall we'll start this all over again...and we'll hope for a few more games next year!

So, in the spirit of logging in today and in reflecting on the conference I attended this weekend, I thought I would think back through my day and share 10 things I'm thankful for.

Here we go:

1) My mom - she's in town and helping out with the kids - including taking them to and from school, entertaining them until I can get home, helping with dinner, shopping, "tidying up," etc...very thankful!
2) Transportation - lets face it, without my car, I'd be using public transportation, a bike or a hike to get to work
3) The Charleston Harbor - each day, I drive into work and get to see some of the most beautiful sights....luckily, each day I take a few seconds to soak in the beautiful view
4) A job that I enjoy - stressful but rewarding
5) The new basketball goal - we enjoyed playing ball for about 15 minutes once I got home from work
6) Spring flowers - our yard is beautiful as are all of the flowers around town - tulips, azaleas and more!
7) Baby wipes - to clean up the mess after Owen splattered yogurt around the room
8) Paper towels - to clean up Payton's "vomit" after he choked on his dinner
9) A nice dinner - that we enjoyed at home as a family, these kids wouldn't have made it if they had eaten out tonight!
10) A nice, comfy bed - to rest my head!
