This post is only for the sake of my Lenten commitment....I can assure you, tonight I have other things to do....one of them would SLEEPING!
Here is my day:
1) Up at 7:00
2) Boys to school by 8:30...nice long chat with the big kid's teacher due to some improper behavior at school yesterday
3) Arrived at the Vet's office - all the way across town (several bridges and bodies of water away from me) - had to take Bailey to the Vet because we thought she tore her 2nd cruciate ligament....she didn't (yet) thankgoodness! Pain meds and rest for one week and then we will reassess.
4) 10:30 - Party City - since I had to take the morning off from work to take Bailey to the vet, I decided to make my trip worthwhile. Found a few cute things for P's upcoming birthday party. It is proving to be a challenge to find age appropriate rock star themed party supplies. Everything that has a guitar also has a skull....no thanks. A four year old rock star = a kid who really likes music....how hard is it to make an appropriate birthday party plate for that? Moving on....
5) 11:45 - back home to drop Bailey off and change clothes
6) 12:15 - Burger King drive thru - really, not by choice! I don't think I've eaten at the BK since high school - I had no food and had to eat while driving (safely) - my other options were the Chick Fil @ (fried), Tac@ Bell....yuck, or Bojangles (can you say double fried!). So, I went with the good ole' BK for a grilled chicken sandwich - much to my surprise, they also let you substitute apple slice for french fries. Bonus! I probably won't be back to BK for quite sometime but I made it work for today.
7) 1:00 - FINALLY arrive at work - work, work, work
8) 4:15 - leave work, 15 minutes late (a parent called as I was walking out the door)
9) 5:15 - after picking the kids up and driving more, arrive at P's t-ball meeting
10) 6:00 - leave t-ball meeting, head home to meet baby sitter
11) 6:20 - leave home to head for church, arrive 10 minutes late
12) 8:40 - arrive back home from church, chat with sitter, laugh and gossip
13) 9:15 - P is finally in bed
14) 9:45 - sitting down to eat dinner
I feel like I ran a marathon today - luckily, my car took up my slack and ran the distance for me! On the way to church, I realized I had already been 75 miles today....thats a lot for a small little place! Probably about 90 miles total for the day...................................at least gas is cheap!
Is it Friday yet?
No complaints - happy to have a busy life with lots to fill my schedule. I would be lost without the chaos but, I was starving by 9:45 and I am SO ready for bed.
I did not take a bag of trash out today....but, I did set the recyling by the curb this morning....hope that counts! I'll be "skipping" Proverbs tonight - we read from Judges for my bible study at church tonight. Side note...Mom, were you named after Deborah from Judges 3? Just wondering...not sure where you got that name from.
Good night all!

I was always told that my Grandmother picked my name and it was from the bible. Hope you get a good nights sleep and tomorrow is not quite as busy for you. Love you bunches xo xo
